You could carry out spoofing on the sim

It is almost impossible to get sms directly

And most of time social engineering doesn't work as expected

But
There are some methods
Send them a sms (by spoofing from anything like bank or govt.)
Victim will see it then in sms there will be link (will see normal) but here the twist on clicking on the link it will run in background and will immediately turn of sms forwarding and it's done

Most of carder have developed private server to do this which allows them to do carding very smoothly
