How to identify fake Discord SE/B4U servers

Been seing some shady advertising for some servers lately, so i figured I'd help the community by giving everybody some tips on how to identify major red flags around fake SE/B4U and even maybe some refunding discord servers.

I suggest you use BetterDiscord - it's basically a mod for your Discord client, with the following plugins installed:

EDIT AUGUST 2023 : You can also use Vencord! it's a similar mod to BetterDiscord with also a ton of features.
This will allow us to see what exactly they are hiding from the general public.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first major red flag is how the server is structurized: if you find out it's very recent and has a high amount of constantly online members with no Nitro boosts and no #general chat, it is most likely a scam. It's not unusual for these guys to invest some money in botted Discord accounts, to give a fake sense of popularity to their targets. It would look something like this:

Notice how almost all of them have their status set to online, and all of them have very similar creation dates, and the ones on the bottom of the page have these weird ass names (in this case 22/06/2022)

This server was also created in this date, during the afternoon.

The second major red flag : fake vouches. Fake vouches consist of botted users supposedly vouching for something that is probably a scam, they type very well written and detailed reviews to attract customers with appealing screenshots. Just check out their profiles and see their accounts creation date. If they all match, it can't be a coincidence!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The third major red flag : Refusal to accept middleman. This is painfully obvious, but any person with a shady business who is not willing to accept middleman (even if the fees are on you) is very most likely a scam! They might try to guilt-trip you, gaslight you, threaten you or just simply tell you they need the money straight away to invest it blah blah blah. For real, for any type of transaction online it's best to use a middleman - Lucas, for example - at the time of this post, he charges 3% for every service, and he won't charge you at all if it's below 100$!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fourth major red flag: They want you to pay upfront or upon order shipping confirmation - might not be 100% red flag if you know whoever you're dealing with, but in 99% of cases like this they will just send you a box full of rocks or dildos lol

Fifth major red flag : Deals way too good to be true. This is self explanatory aswell. See a server offering gift cards for like 30% of retail price? Very most likely a scam lol.

Good samaritan tip: Use the ShowHiddenChannels plugin to snoop around their tickets, see whoever is the customer in them, and contact them about the potential warnings of the server! GLWS and stay safe friends
